According to the statistics of Urumqi Customs, this year is 1-mdash; In April, the total import and export value of Xinjiang’s foreign trade was 94.95 billion yuan, an increase of 82.7% over the same period in 2022. Among them, exports reached 80.64 billion yuan, up by 90.1%; Imports reached 14.31 billion yuan, up 49.9%. In April, Xinjiang’s foreign trade import and export reached 26.88 billion yuan, an increase of 89%.The main features are:
First, exports to the five Central Asian countries achieved positive growth for three consecutive months. Exports from Xinjiang ports to five Central Asian countries increased by 4.9%, 11.4% and 14.4% in February, March and April respectively. In April, exports reached 31.48 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 107.3%.
The second is 1-mdash; In April, Xinjiang’s single trading partner countries and regions expanded from 160 in the same period of last year to 165. Pragmatic cooperation in the economic and trade field with Central Asia has been deepening, 1-mdash; In April, Xinjiang imported and exported 75.11 billion yuan to five Central Asian countries, up 92.2%, accounting for 43.4% of the total value of China’s imports and exports to five Central Asian countries, up 12.4 percentage points from the same period of last year. Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are still the three major trading partners of Xinjiang.
Third, the export of mechanical and electrical products and clothing accounted for nearly 70%, and the export of "new three kinds" maintained a high prosperity. 1— In April, the export of mechanical and electrical products, clothing and clothing accessories from Xinjiang Port to five Central Asian countries increased by 76.5% and 66.7% respectively, accounting for 64.3% of the total export value. In the same period, the export of Xinjiang ports to five Central Asian countries increased by 495.7%, among which the export growth rates of electric manned vehicles, solar cells and lithium batteries were 645.9%, 217.4% and 66% respectively.
