On July 16th, in the Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products (the 397th batch) disclosed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the first car H5 of Shangjie Automobile jointly built by SAIC and Huawei was officially unveiled. As the last "boundary" of HarmonyOS Zhixing, this car focuses on the 200,000-class consumer market, and it is expected to be launched in September, which will become an important model for HarmonyOS Zhixing to explore the mass market for the first time.
Vehicle parameters and power information
The body dimensions of Shangjie H5 are 4780mm long, 1910mm wide, 1657mm high and 1664mm high, and the wheelbase is 2840mm. In terms of power, there are two versions of pure electric and plug-in extended range hybrid power:
The pure electric vehicle is equipped with TZ204XS1352 motor, which has a battery life of 655km, a maximum speed of 190km/h and a total mass of 2395kg.
The extended-range version is equipped with a 15FMC engine, with a comprehensive endurance of more than 1300km, and its emissions meet the national VI standard of GB18352.6-2016.
In addition, the new car provides a wealth of optional configurations, including laser radar, luggage rack (black), rim style, fender trim (black), tail logo, front and rear lower trim (black), etc., to meet the individual needs of different users.
Positioning and core highlights
Shangjie brand is different from HarmonyOS Zhixing’s brands such as Wenjie and Zhijie, focusing on the 200,000-level "volume" market, filling the gap of HarmonyOS Zhixing in the popular market. Its core highlight is that it is equipped with HUAWEI ADS 4 intelligent driving system when it goes on the market. Yu Chengdong, managing director of Huawei and chairman of BG, called it "ceiling-level experience", emphasizing the advantages of the car in the field of intelligent driving.
Sales channels and production capacity layout
Shangjie will adopt an independent private network sales model. At present, there are more than 1,000 channels competing for agency rights, and the progress of channel construction mainly depends on Huawei. Previously, HarmonyOS Zhixing had held a recruitment meeting for the channels of Zhijie and Shangjie private networks to recruit high-quality dealers with 4S operation qualification nationwide.
In terms of production capacity, the production addresses of Shangjie H5 involve Ningde City, Fujian Province, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, and Pudong New Area, Shanghai. These cities all have the layout of production bases of SAIC, but some sources said that multi-address labeling belongs to protective filing. In addition, Shangjie vehicle production and battery supporting projects have settled in Shanghai Lingang New Area, providing guarantee for production capacity. Jia Jianxu, president of SAIC, once revealed that the exclusive team of Shangjie has exceeded 5,000 people, with an initial investment of 6 billion yuan, and the two sides will also build exclusive super factories.
Market expectation
The launch of Shangjie H5 is an important achievement of cooperation between SAIC and Huawei. Yu Chengdong had predicted that the sales volume of this car would explode after it was launched, and asked SAIC to prepare sufficient production capacity. The market performance of this car will not only affect the deepening of cooperation between the two parties, but also become a key step for HarmonyOS Zhixing to explore in the popular market.
